So, let's talk about makeup. A few years ago I decided to tackle the makeup situation and try and switch over to more natural replacements. Here's the deal. I don't really wear a lot of makeup - I'm just too lazy. My main routine is usually coverstick, blush, gloss and mascara. However, I am in the process of finding a natural blush. Since I haven't found it, I haven't worn it for a while. See? Lazy. For dates, I'll add some eye makeup and lipstick (sometimes). I wore a new lip gloss this weekend and my husband looked at me with a very concerned look on his face and said "are your lips turning blue?!". When I said no, he laughed and said that he was worried I wasn't getting enough oxygen. 😑 I wish I could tell you this was the first time he has commented about my lipstick. I've had to face the facts and accept that I didn't marry a guy who likes lipstick. 😂
Here are my current favorites: Coverstick: Dr. Hauschka I really like the coverage and how long it lasts. Mascara: 100% Pure First of all, this smells amazing. Second of all, this is the best natural mascara I have found. It doesn't flake off and it doesn't get clumpy. It also washes off easily when I am ready for it to come off. Lips: Burt's Bees tinted lip balm Burt's Bees is hands down my favorite chapstick. And let's be honest: tinted chapstick is about our speed around here.
Since I don't have a lot of options (you know, for date nights), I just signed up for a Goodbeing Box (formerly, Goode Box). Goodbeing is similar to Birchbox or Ipsy - it is a subscription box sent to you full of new goodies to try. Goodbeing brings you "expertly curated, healthy/clean beauty products, non-toxic cosmetics, natural wellness and sustainable, toxin-free living goods." I JUST got my first one in last week and will be reviewing it here later this week. I am really excited about discovering new crunchy products!
