I would like to say that I make these gummies for my boy,
but honestly – they’re for the whole family. These little gummies are so addicting! But even better? They’re good for you! These little guys are
full of gelatin and kombucha and sweetened with honey – no refined stuff.
Let me tell you what gelatin can do for you. This stuff is awesome. It can nourish skin, hair and nails and even
aid in their growth, it is great for bones and joints. It can help heal your gut lining and reduce
inflammation. It is full of amino acids
– some of which actually help you sleep at night.I know – sign me up, right? But wait. There’s more.Gelatin can help
balance hormones, help with allergies, boost your metabolism AND support your
adrenals and liver.SO many benefits
from one source.
There is one catch. The gelatin does need to be from grass fed cows. You don’t want the stuff you can get in the
baking aisle at the grocery store. It
won’t be full of goodness.I used GreatLakes today, but am in the process of switching over to Vital Proteins. Both are fantastic options.
Kombucha has a lot of health benefits as well. Feel free to
read about those here. It’s time to make
some gummies now!
Place lemon juice and gelatin in a pan and let sit for about
5 minutes to bloom.Place on medium heat
and stir together until creamy and melted.Let cool for a few minutes before adding kombucha and honey. You want to
make sure you keep all the benefits of raw honey and kombucha. Add oil(s).Pour into molds.Throw into the freezer for 5-10 minutes to
set quickly.Enjoy!
Helpful tips:
- I use these molds – but you can use anything you want!
- I use Young Living oils – you can learn more about them here.
- If you want them to be sweeter, feel free to add more
honey. Raw is best. However, raw and local is gold.
- You can add any other oils/juices you want – get creative!
